Rogers Cup: qualification rounds
1
Currently ranked #59, Lucie must first go through qualifications in Montreal in order to be part of the main draw. Safarova will play her first qualifying round against local Katherine Sebov (WTA #286) later today (2nd match on central court).
If Lucie wins, she will either meet Veronica Cepede Royg (who had eliminated her in R1 of the French Open 2017) or WTA#70 Jennifer Brady in the next qualifying round. You can consult the qualifying draw here.
We will update this post later if Lucie is part of the main draw.

Hi do you know if she also needs to play for qualifying rounds in US Open too?
The cut-off date for the US open has passed and she was well inside the top 100, so she won’t need to play qualifications 🙂
