Lucie is back in Quebec where she won the title in 2013. She is starting her tournament against Ons Jabeur (#114) and this will be their first meeting. In R2, she could either face a qualifier or fellow Czech Kristyna Pliskova (#95).

She is not going to Asia this year, and she has not yet decided if she would play other tournaments or not in 2018. She also mentioned thqt she could retire at the end of this season but would decide after her last tournament.
