W&S Open Cincinnati: Preview
Lucie has a pretty difficult draw in Cincinnati. First, she is already scheduled to meet in R1 Sloane Stephens (yes, you read that right!), the very one who stopped her in Toronto.
In case Lucie wins, she will either face Petra Kvitova (who has won all their previous meetings) or #28 Anett Kontaveit (this will be their first meeting).
Her potential opponents for R3 include Kerber, Strycova and Makarova. You can consult the full draw here.
Lucie’s best result in Cincinnati was in 2015 when she reached the quarterfinals.
Lucie will also play doubles, once again with Barbora Strycova. They should be the number 3 seed.
