The draw for Lucies next tournament has been made.

In the first round she has to face number 3 seeded Kateryna Bondarenko (UKR).

Lucie played once against the number 31 of the world and won this match in three sets.

They are in the second half of the draw, with second seeded Shahar Peer in their half.

In her 1/4-final match Lucie faced number one seeded Kim Clijsters.

After the first set it seemed to be an easy victory for Clijsters, she won the set after only 25 minutes with 6-1.

However, Lucie fought back extremely strong. When her opponent had break chances she served very well and could win this set 6-0!

The third set was more balanced. Lucie had some great shots but Kim was the luckier one at the end.

Clijsters won this set 6-4.

Unfortunately Lucie lost this match after 1 1/2 hour, but it was a great match.

Her next tournament will be Hobart (AUS), starting next week.

Today Lucie played her second round match in Brisbane against Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak.

In the first set she was able to save all 5 breakpoints Wozniak had and could break her opponents serve twice herself.

Lucie won the first set 6-3.

The second set was even better, Lucie was able to get 2 breaks again and won the set with 6-1.

After one hour Lucie won her match and is in the 1/4 final.

There she will face Kim Clijsters (BEL). The match is scheduled for Thursday, 7th January, not before 7:oo p.m. on Pat Rafter Arena.

Lucka started with a great win into the new season. She defeat German Anna-Lena Grönefeld 6-7(5) 6-4 6-1 in the first round of Brisbane International.

In the 2nd round Lucie will face number 6 seed Aleksandra Wozniak.
This match is scheduled for wednesday Jan 6th.

Lucie is not participating in the doubles competition.

Lucie is going to start tomorrow into the new season.

In the first Round of the Brisbane international in Australia she will face German Anna-Lena Grönefeld. Anna-Lena and Lucie played twice against each other. It´s tied 1-1.
