Lucka won another round at the WTA Tournament in Tokyo (JPN). She beat Chinese Shuai Peng 6-3 4-6 6-4 in the 2nd Round.

In the 3rd round number 8 seed Victoria Azarenka is waiting. Azarenka beat Jie Zheng 6-1 6-1 in the 2nd Round.

Lucka and Victoria played twice against each other. Both matches won the Belarussian.

Lucie started today into the WTA Tournament in Tokyo (JPN). She defeated Ana Ivanovic from Serbia 6:4 7:6(1). Ivanovic, who just came back after a several weeks long break, was seeded on position 10.

In the 2nd Round Lucka will face Shuai Peng (CHN) who defeated Anabel Medina-Garrigues 6-3 and 6-3.

The head to head between both players is 1-1, but Lucie won the last match.

Lucie is not playing doubles in Tokyo.

The draw for the Pan Pacific Open 2009 has been made.

Lucie is in the second half and will face Ana Ivanovic (SRB) in her first round match.

The Serbian is seeded as number 10 and the current number 11 of the world.

They played three times against each other, Ivanovic won two matches, but it was Lucie who could win their last meeting.

Lucie lost the Final of the WTA Tournament in Quebec City 6-4 3-6 5-7 to Melinda Czink.

“We both played a good match. I think it just came down to a few balls and she did it better,” Lucie said. “The whole week I was trying to be very aggressive and move forward, but she did the same today and I had trouble dealing with it. I didn’t feel I did anything wrong today. It could have gone either way.

“I hope to come back next year and do better. Unless you win, you can always do better!”

However it was the first final for Lucka this season and a great tournament.
Her next tournament will be Tokyo.

Lucka stormed into the final of the wta tournament in Quebec City. She beat German Julia Görges 6:3 6:2 in the semifinal.

The final opponent is not yet decided. It will be the winner between Melinda Czink and Aleksandra Wozniacki.

The final will be play on sunday.
