After her little break to recover, Lucie plays again. This week she participates in Eastbourne (Aegon International).

In her first round match she will face Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Lucie won her first round match against Pavlyuchenkova with 6-4, 3-6 and 6-4.

After Lucie had won her first match on grass this year, her next opponent was Kim Clijsters.

Clijsters won the match easily in less than one hour. Lucie’s next tournament will be Wimbledon.

After her first round victory, Lucie faced P. Hercog in the second round of Roland Garros.

Due to an early break, Herlog had a comfortable lead with 4-1 after only 10 minutes. At this score, Lucie had three break chances against herself again. Although she could keep two out of the three, she lost her serve again and her opponent won the first set 6-1.

The second set started similar. Herlog managed an early break to get a 2-1 lead. After that both players won their service games until 2-4 when Lucie lost her service again to give her opponent the chance to serve for the match.

After almost one hour Lucie lost this second round match with 1-6, 2-6.

 However, Lucie is still playing doubles together with A. Wozniak. They won their first round match and will play their second round match tomorrow against I. Benesova and B. Zahlavova Strycova on court 5.

Lucka started today her Mission Roland Garros 2010!

In the first round she faced Australian Jelena Dokic.
Last week Lucie couldn´t play much tennis because of an injury, but she spent the time in Düsseldorf with the Czech Men´s team at the Arag World Team Cup. She went there to her doctor and started to play tennis again on Friday. But that didn´t stopped her.

After only 1 hour she beat the Australian 6-2 6-2.
In the first set Lucka started straight with an break to a confidend 3-0 lead. Dokic had chances to break Lucie back but her Lucka was too strong.

The 2nd set was equal at the beginning, until 2-2 but then Lucie won four games in a row to win the set and the match.

After a week off and hopefully enough time to recover, the second Grand Slam tournament of the year is waiting for Lucie.

In the first round in Paris she will face Australian Jelena Dokic.

They are in the third quarter of the draw, together with C. Wozniacki and S. Kuznetsova.

In a possible second round, Lucie could either face a qualifier or P.Hercoq.

In her semi-final match in Madrid Lucie faced A. Rezai.

After losing the first set 6-1 Lucie retired.

However, it was a great week for Lucie. She improved her ranking to number 25!

This week Lucie doesn’t play a tournament.

Hopefully she will be fit again for the French Open!
