Lucie is in the quarter of number one seeded Dinara Safina (RUS).

Her first round match will be against Iveta Benesova (CZE).

Their head to head is 3:0 for Lucie.

The winner of the match will face Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS), seeded as number 6.

Unfortunately Lucie lost her second round match against Alona Bondarenko with 7:5, 4:6 and 5:7.

It was a very close match which took almost 2:30 hours.

At the end the winner got only two points more.

Her next tournament will be Cincinnati, starting on Saturday, 8th August.

Lucie won her first Match in the 2009 Hardcourt Season. She beat number 15 seed Estonian Player Kaia Kanepi in the first Round of the LA Women´s Tennis Championships 6:3 7:6(4).

Her 2nd round opponent is Alona Bondarenko (UKR), they never played against each other before.

The match will take place on wednesday, 5th August, the third match on court 5 after 11:00 a.m.

Lucka is not playing doubles in Los Angeles.

On Monday the Hardcourt season is going to start for Lucie. She will start her season in Los Angeles (USA).

In the first Round she will face Estonian Kaia Kanepi. Kaia is seeded on position 15.
A possible 2nd Round would be against Meghann Shaughnessy or Alona Bondarenko.

Lucie and Kaia played twice against each other. It´s tied 1:1 and Lucie won their last match. It was in Madrid earlier this year.

Ready for the Hardcourt Season we made a new Design for Lucie´s Official Website.

At the moment only the english version is available but as soon as possible we will add a czech version as well.

Also we have a new team member. Nadine, she will now work with me, Janine on the Design as Esther will not keep on working with us.
