Lucie was born on the 04th February 1987 in Brno (Czech Republic). She lives in Prostejov (Czech Republic). She has one older Sister Veronika (Born 23rd Augusut 1977). Her father Milan who used to be her coach and her mother called Jana.

At age 3, she started to play tennis.

At age 10, Lucie went to Austria. Her father used to work there as a tennis coach and Lucie went to School in Austria and practiced there with her dad. For nearly 2 years.

2001
When she was 14 years old, she made her debut on the ITF Women Circuit. Her first ITF Tournament was the ITF in Plzen (CZE), she lost in the 1st round but at her 2nd ITF Tournament in Prague (CZE) , she reached the quarterfinal (lost to Claudine Schaul). Therefore she played some ITF Junior Tournaments where she captured 3 titles.

2002
She played only ITF Junior Tournaments, where she captured one title at the Hong Kong Open Junior Championships and lost in the final of the Osaka Mayor´s Championships – World Super Junior Tennis Championships in the final. Her highest Junior Ranking was on the 14th Oct #8 in singles and on the 09th Dec. # 12 in Doubles.

2003
Lucie played six more ITF Women Tournaments, at the ITF Tournament in Valasske Mezirici (CZE) she played her best result where she was runner up. She lost to Sybille Bammer in the Final. Therefore she reached the semi final in Greenville (USA) and in Ostrava (CZE).

2004
She captured her first 2 Titles at ITF Women Tournaments in Bergamo (ITA) and Bastad (SWE). In 2 more tournaments she was runner up. In the qualifying of the US Open she made her WTA Tour debut her second WTA Tour Tournaments was also in 2004 the qualifying in Philadelphia (USA). In July she made her Fed Cup debut for the Czech Republic when she won the doubles rubber with M. Pastikova vs. Estonia in the Play Offs.

2005
was a good season. She captures her first 2 WTA TOUR Titles and breaking into TOP 50. On her only 7th WTA Tour tournament and 3rd time Main Draw playing, she captured her first WTA Title in Estoril (POR). When she played it, she was #155 in the world and had to play the qualifying. On the way to the title, she won vs. Ruano Pascual, Dulko… and in the final she beat No. 4 seeded Na Li. Only 2 tournaments later, in s´-Hertogenbosch (NED) , she reached her 2nd Tour singles final. In the final she lost to Klara Koukalova (CZE). Her 3rd Tour final she reached at the tournament in Forest Hills, she defeated #3 Seed Sania Mirza in the final to win 2nd Tour Title. Lucie made her debut in Roland Garros, where she lost in the 1st Round to Nicole Vaidisova, Wimbledon where she lost in the 1st round to no. 12 seed Mary Pierce and in the Main Draw of the US Open where she lost also in the 1st round to #6 seed Elena Dementieva.
Not just on the WTA Tour she won some titles. She won as well in the ITF Womens Circuit 3 titles: Prostejov (CZE), Capriolo (ITA), Redding (USA).
After winning the title in Prostejov she made her TOP 100 debut as No. 77 on 6th June 2005, therefore shortly after Hasselt on the 07th November she made her Top 50 debut (as #50).

2006
Only in the first week she captured her 3rd and biggest title in Gold Coast (AUS). On the way to the final she made her career- first Top10 victory over defending champion Patty Schnyder. She made her Australian Open main Draw debut but lost in the 1st round to Sanchez Lorenzo in 3 sets. In April on the 18th career Tour singles main draw, she reached her 5th Semi final at Amelia Island, prior to Amelia Island she had never ever been to a Tier II Quarterfinal. After it, she moved to her career high position as #27. In Fed Cup she made her singles debut in the quarter finals vs. France, where she lost to Nathalie Dechy and Tatiana Golovin. Also she reached the semi final at the tournament in Palermo as # 4 seed (lost to Anabel Medina Garrigues).

2007
It was Lucies breakthrough season. She started with the Quarterfinal at the Australian Open, where she defeat Amelie Mauresmo. At the Paris Indoors she reached the final. En route to Final she beat Pirokova, Vaidisova, Kuznetsova and Henin. She lost in the Final in 3 sets to Russian Nadia Petrova. In Estoril she reached the Semifinals. At the 2nd Grand Slam of this Season, Roland Garros, she reached the 4th Round. She defeated again French Amelie Mauresmo in the 3rd Round before she lost this time to Anna Chakvedatze (RUS). In August she reached her career High Singles Ranking of 22 in the world. But the end of the season was not that good, as Lucka couldn´t play many Tournaments due to an injury.
